I have all of the sections of the first song written now, and just need to make a few small adjustments, and write the solo.  If I have time tomorrow, I'll re-record the rough version with all the parts in place.

I have finished writing the first tune, and have recorded the sections in the order I want them in including a little harmonized guitar section, and the guitar solo which you can hear by clicking THIS.  Just to warn you it is a very rough recording with a simple drum track.  This week will be spent refining bits and pieces of the song for my first jam with my drummer on Sunday.

The first jam with my drummer, Sean, went really well.  Sean was able to write drum sections for every section of the tune in less than 2 hours, and I was really happy with his work.  I've sent him the tune with a click track so he can work in his drum fills, and then rehearse the song until he has it down 100%.  This week, I am working on the second tune.  More on that later....

Sorry for the long break, but I've been taking a break from writing until I get a 7 string which should be here fairly soon.  Shred on!! METAL UP YOUR ASS!!

Ok.  I'm not getting a 7 string.  I bought it a while back, and returned it because the cutaway was shit.  I'm going to be working on two projects now.  One with a band, and one without since it is so hard to find musicians who play metal in this town.  Just stay tuned.
